FOUR POEMS by COWBOY ROLAND

kennedy

i will meet a lady with knees
some real knees
knees that need support
forest gump knees

knees i can hide behind
and hold onto

knees that would crush my knees, if she fell
tree knees
knees like bricks
‘hey, i noticed you got knees like bricks’
“stop talking to me”

fluttering instead of pinned and mounted

i couldn’t share this meal with anyone
who but you would want to sit, to settle
to grow caterpillars in the belly

skulls always look like they’re smiling

i’ll just wait for us to decompose
so my hand bones can touch yours

yeehaw

you need kisses
big barrels of them, okay
you stand at the bottom of a hill
and i will roll big barrels of kisses at you
you’re gonna get smashed
and love it
